What’s Going On??
Welcome to the NEW Elegy! Things may look a little different around here, and that’s because well.. basically, everything IS different. The shop, site, logo, shop schedule, brand concept, and general vibe of my work has undergone a makeover.
Elegy is a small indie brand, focused on creating Elegant Garbage Lolita fashion. With a heart for sustainability, recycling, and generally being earth-friendly, I’ve re-thought and changed
how I do things…
I’m not going to get into the whole, WHOLE story right here, right now. Let’s just say.. there was something inside of me that needed to get out. I needed to start creating from a place of authenticity, and being true to myself, instead of always trying to just make what I think other people want to wear. Which is stupid, I know. But failure is my biggest fear, and putting my true, authentic, weird view out into the world is scary. Because if I fail… then what? I had to start creating in a way that left me feeling fulfilled, rather than empty, stressed, and anxious.
Anyways, enough emotional thoughts for now. For now, things are different. I’m going to be creating more from my heart - making one-of-a-kind pieces in batches, and posting them every few weeks. If you’re looking for my old stuff, I’m sorry. Maybe I’ll make some of those pieces available again in the future (I know the Lilith blouse and my bloomers are very well-loved), but for now this weird stuff is what’s fulfilling me, and what I need to focus on.
